Fukushima Unit 3-4 Vent Tower To Come Down In 2022

TEPCO documented that the unit 3-4 shared vent tower at Fukushima Daiichi will be removed in 2022. The information was among a timeline of actions scheduled toward the removal of fuel debris at the three damaged reactor units. This appears to be preparatory work for fuel debris removal. The unit 1-2 vent tower was partially cut down in recent years to reduce the falling hazard of the heavily damaged metal tower.
