Anomalies at Fukushima Daiichi Tied To Recent Quakes, Concerns About Fuel and Buildings
A series of significant anomalies were noticed in the TEPCO reactor data in recent weeks. When these anomalies were cross referenced against recent large quakes near the plant a concerning pattern appeared. Radiation, temperature and pressure readings show
a disturbing trend that indicates that melted fuel may be relocating. This set of information shows that there are concerns about the integrity of the concrete buildings. With reports of steam coming out of cracks in the ground and high radiation levels being found outside the reactor buildings these could be indicators of such damage.

– tepco data usually provides remarks to explain unusual readings, like instrument failures, electricity blackouts, power switchings, gauge replacing, recalibrations, false readings, etc, in each last column, or in the lowest row. however, there are no remarks since july 23. so there are no technical explanations.
interpretations:
– the decribed pressure, temperature and water level drops during the two last earthquakes are consistent with the now reported, probably highly
radioactive “steams out of ground cracks”. the earthquakes may have cracked underground parts of all 3 reactors esp. #1 and #2. #3 did not lose
pressure. since nitrogen is injected into all 3 reactors, we would normally expect rising pressures.
– the desribed rad spikes in #1 drywell b are significantly higher since the last earthquakes. spikes never reached 300 Sv/h before. though the
instrument has been reported as failure, there seem to be radioactive masses moving around and showing recriticality.
– the most significant anomaly happened in #2 drywell b. the radiation rose since eq1 and dropped suddenly within 6 hours from 15.7 to 0.00207 Sv/h during eq2. the only rational explanation would be a movement of radioactive masses and a leaking of the masses away from the instrument. radioactive particles may have escaped through the cracks with the steam.
– there have been reported more radioactive leaks with readings over 10 Sv/h. #3 has no radiation readings over 3.7 Sv/h. #1 has low radiation
readings (~0.7 Sv/h) aside from drywell b (27-371 Sv/h). #2 readings are around 6 (torus b), 10 (drywell a) and 15 (drwell b before eq2) Sv/h.
– if there is a realease of steam with rad levels over 10 Sv/h, it can only stem from #1 drywell or #2 drywell and torus through cracks in the containment and ground fissures, since steam rising from the soil outside the reactors is reported.
– the described anomalies are unique in the latest history (since april/may) and arise concerns about the integrity of the concrete buildings.
