Overlooked In The Chaos, Worker Death At Daini
In the chaos of the early days of the great eastern earthquake and the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster a worker died at Fukushima Daini.
In a footnote to a March 12th status report TEPCO mentioned that a worker died at Daini. He was trapped in a crane console that had something to do with the venting towers.
“A seriously injured worker who had been trapped in the crane operating
console of the exhaust stack was transported to the ground at 5:13pm and
confirmed dead at 5:17pm. We sincerely pray for the repose of his soul”
No other information seems to have been released about the worker or the incident.
