International Doctors Group Disputes WHO Study On Fukushima

German physician Alex Rosen has published a new paper critical of the WHO claims about radiation and the Fukushima nuclear disaster. Rosen mentions that WHO’s radiation measurements inside the evacuation zone are much lower than those taken by other research groups. WHO also assumed those who evacuated over the first few days of the disaster didn’t receive significant radiation exposure.

*It is known radiation levels were increasing in the evacuation zone even before people were fully evacuated.

Rosen made this comment about the WHO study:

seems to suggest a certain safety while omitting the important information that the risk of developing cancer and other radiation-induced diseases increases proportionally to the amount of radioactive exposure,” Rosen, a pediatrician, said.

Rosen also mentions some apparent bias in the actual production of the WHO report:

“It is unclear why a report written mainly by the IAEA and collaborating nuclear institutions would need to be published in the name of the WHO, if not to provide an unsuspicious cover” for the true radiation levels Fukushima residents were exposed to, Rosen argued.

Dr. Rosen is a member of the Nobel Prize winning group, International Physicians for the Prevention of Nuclear War.
We have not been able to locate a copy of Dr. Rosen’s paper to date but are working to obtain a copy if possible.
