Power Partially Restored To Fuel Pools At Fukushima Daiichi
TEPCO has restored some power at the spent fuel pools at Daiichi Information from various media sources is conflicting.
The common pool appears to still be without power and was at 28.6 degrees at about 4am UTC
Unit 3 spent fuel pool is still without power and was at 15.9 degrees at about 4am UTC
Unit 4 spent fuel pool has one cooling line restored according to Kyodo, RSOE EDIS cites a temp of 30.5 at about 4am UTC
Unit 1 spent fuel pool is cited by other sources as still being out, NHK states it is restored. The temp was 17.1 at about 4am UTC
Various news reports say the issue was three distribution panels at the plant. There was a blackout that caused damage to three of the panels, two have been repaired and workers were still trying to determine how to repair it. NHK reports it might be repaired by Wednesday night but didn’t elaborate how that would happen when the repair is still yet to be determined.
