Crane Collapse At Fukushima Daiichi
A crane collapsed at Fukushima Daiichi the morning of September 5th. The crane apparently collapsed slowly and before work started for the day with the crane arm ending up “face down” on the pavement. TEPCO cites a small crack being found near one of the articulations of the crane. Luckily this failure did not happen during work on the refueling floor of unit 3 where it is currently stationed.
