Fukushima Unit 2 Loses Reactor Thermometer

Unit 2 at Fukushima Daiichi has lost another bottom thermometer in the reactor vessel. Workers said it short circuited when they were testing it. This leaves one thermometer remaining to estimate temperature in the bottom of the reactor vessel.

Accurate temperatures inside unit 2 have been an ongoing problem.

UPDATE: TEPCO reports workers short circuited the thermometer when they put the wrong voltage through it.
