TEPCO To Begin Unit 3 Crane Removal From Spent Fuel Pool

A brief note in the daily reports mentioned that TEPCO will be pausing cooling to the unit 3 spent fuel pool again. This time it is to begin work to remove the refueling crane that fell into the pool during the blast. This work is obviously risky to an extent as they try to remove the heavy refueling crane from the damaged fuel pool. TEPCO previously installed a flexible dam in the pool to try to isolate any oil that would leak from the crane as they begin to try to remove it from the pool.
