TEPCO Gets Approval To Concrete Tunnels At Fukushima Daiichi
As part of the ongoing work to install the frozen wall around the reactor buildings at Fukushima Daiichi, concreting some of the tunnels has now been added to the list.
The tunnels on the sea side have been a specific problem as they try to install the frozen wall. NRA has approved the use of concrete to instead block these tunnels that are sometimes filled with piping. So why did no one try to concrete in these tunnels back in 2011 as they leaked highly contaminated water to the sea?
