Typhoon Vongfong Set To Hit Fukushima Daiichi
The typhoon is predicted to be a slow moving tropical storm by the time it hits north east Japan. The typhoon should be a tropical storm, down from a category 5 typhoon yesterday as it approached Okinawa. If this prediction stands Fukushima Daiichi is in for another batch of heavy rain. Rains from the previous typhoon already caused groundwater contamination to shift as was seen in monitoring wells. TEPCO has yet to provide any readings for that time period for the sea front wells, the port or the trenches near the damaged reactors.
