Fukushima Unit 1 Containment Inspection Conducted
TEPCO reports that the work is underway and released three images of the robot being inserted into the containment structure. The images of the robot were taken with a scope camera and confirm the robot was inserted into containment, made it down to the catwalk and successfully rearranged itself for the inspection work.
No additional information was given by TEPCO at this time but they did label the handout for the work as “preliminary” so additional information may be released after they have had an opportunity to review it. The second phase of this inspection is scheduled to take place Monday the 13th.
