Fukushima Unit 3 Second Containment Inspection Results

TEPCO states that data gathered will be released later. They have released some images of the second day of containment inspections. TEPCO found what they described as sediment in the new photos. The sediments are in the underwater section of the inspection. One curious visual is a floor grating with some form of dense sediment able to span the gaps in the grating. It is also found stuck to horizontal surfaces in circular blobs. The section inspected today again lacked significant structural damage and did not have the black charred appearance found in unit 1 containment.

The additional data to be provided by TEPCO would be helpful in determining what the sediments may be.
