5 At TEPCO Home Office Knew Of Meltdown Manual

bookTEPCO admitted via Asahi Shimbun that 5 people at TEPCO’s home office in Tokyo knew of the meltdown manual as they were the workers tasked with maintaining it. TEPCO provided no further explanation as to why the manual still wasn’t used. These admissions come as Niigata prefecture has pressured TEPCO to disclose information about the disaster as part of their terms for considering the potential restart of the Kashiwazaki Kariwa nuclear plant.
