Greenpeace Urges Delay In School Starts In Fukushima
記事の末尾に日本語訳。
Greenpeace is urging officials to delay school or take other action due to high levels still being found in schools far from the evacuation zone. After decontamination schools are still posting radiation readings well above the international standard. Authorities raised the maximum radiation level Friday in an attempt to approve schools that were still too contaminated.
One school had a reading 70% higher than the international limit.
“”No parent should have to choose between radiation exposure and education for their child,” said Kazue Suzuki, Greenpeace Japan’s anti-nuclear project head.”
