Massive Public Meeting With NRC About GE BWR Reactor Lack Of Safety Oct. 7
Beyond Nuclear and a who’s who list of experts and de-nuclear groups will have a public meeting with the NRC to finally discuss the aging fleet of very dangerous GE BWR nuclear reactors. The GE Mark 1 design has been known to have a number of dangerous design flaws since the 1970’s. The Fukushima disaster sadly proved all of the critics were right.
This is a very rare opportunity to participate and have such wide public input on a critical issue of public safety.
Beyond Nuclear is asking people to call in and attend the meeting, details on how to participate by phone can be found on their website.
There is also time to co-sign their petition that insists the NRC must shut down all of the ageing GE Mark 1 reactors now.
The meeting is:
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 7, 2011 10 AM TO 12 NOON EASTERN STANDARD TIME
It can also be watched online at http://video.nrc.gov/
