More Hot Spots And Contaminated Products In Japan

Another hot spot was found, this one in suburban Tokyo. The ditch near an elementary school was found to have 2.153 microsieverts per hour when someone tested above the mud in the ditch.

Bagged compost used at an agricultural school in Tochigi was found to have 74 times the legal limit of radioactive contamination.

Tea harvested from plantations around Tokyo was tested for contamination, 29 of the 30 teas tested were over the limit for contamination. The tea was picked in May but not tested until October. The tea had not been put out for sale yet.
