Issac Hitting Waterford Nuclear Plant Now Through Wed
The outer bands of Hurricane Issac are hitting the region of the Waterford Nuclear plant right now. The center of the hurricane is expected to make landfall near the plant Wednesday morning. Issac will make landfall as a category 1 hurricane but is moving slow and could dump large amounts of rain as it passes through. Waterford is still operating at 100% according to the NRC. Grand Gulf is also still at 100% but sits further inland. Reactor locations can be found here.
