Oi Nuclear Plant May Be Shut Down In July
Oi nuclear plant will need to shut down for refueling in July of this year. It may take a considerable amount of time or may be impossible to restart depending on new safety rules being put in place by Japan’s NRA. The operator has a plan for upgrades, some may take time to install. Tokyo Web is raising doubts about the restart of Oi.
We previously investigated Oi and found many high risks at the plant that are outside the scope of NRA’s safety plans that could contribute to a Fukushima type accident.
