Fukushima Highly Contaminated Well Shows More Problems
TEPCO released a report with three months worth of readings from the sea front wells. Well 1-16 has had significantly higher beta radiation levels with the newest at around 1.8 million bq/liter. This new data shows that the well location also saw an increase in other types of radiation around late October.
Ruthenium 106
Cobalt 60
(Antimony) Sb 125
Levels for these three isotopes began or increased around late October and have stayed that way into December. Strontium 90 has still not been reported for this well. Well 1-17 also saw some increased incidence of these other isotopes compared to other wells in the area. Well 1-16 is near the cable trenches that were found to have high levels of radioactive water soon after the meltdowns.
