News 24 is reporting that TEPCO has admitted that the steel door for the MSIV room was found to be blown inward. Due to high radiation levels humans can not go in to retrieve the door and robots are incapable of removing the object. This is cited as the reason for attempting an inspection into the room from the floor above.
TEPCO had previously indicated they thought there was possibly standing water in the room, with the door gone that would no longer be a possibility. Other doors in unit 3 have been found to be damaged by the massive hydrogen explosion in the building. The TIPS room door was found to be blown into that room and a door into the torus room on the other side of the building was found to be bowed out. The remains of a steel door was also found wrapped around a stair rail inside the torus room. TEPCO has not released any photos of the new finding in the MSIV room yet.
