Fukushima Daiichi Frozen Wall Install Begins Monday

Now that the NRA has approved the frozen walls around the reactor buildings at Fukushima Daiichi, construction will start on Monday. Kajima is in charge of the actual construction work. Some of the challenges to installation have yet to be figured out. Work in the trenches on the seafront may present challenges. There are still concerns about land subsidence or contaminated water leaving the reactor buildings faster once the frozen wall is installed.
