Fukushima Unit 5 Alternate Cooling, No ETA For System Repair; July 13, 2014

TEPCO still has not given any further information about the needed repair of the leaking valve for the main cooling system used by the spent fuel pool of unit 5. Alternate cooling by sharing the RHR system for the reactor vessel continues as can be seen in the hourly data feeds. Previously reported, the RHR system was having a minor oil leak problem, TEPCO did a temporary fix. This makes restoration of the normal cooling system more urgent to assure they have options available.
