Fukushima Unit 1 Cover Removal Delayed To Late October

47 News is reporting that TEPCO will delay the removal of the cover on unit 1 at Fukushima Daiichi until late October. The removal was previously scheduled for late September.

It is not clear if the delay is due to additional precautions being implemented after scientists found that demolition work on unit 3 had released a considerable amount of radiation to the environment or if other events have added to the delays.
