Tuesday Earthquake Aftershock Of 3-11 Quake
Experts cited the early Tuesday 6.9 quake in Iwate Prefecture was an aftershock of the 2011 “3-11” quake.
The Tuesday quake caused a tsunami alert to be issued. The resulting tsunami was less than 1 meter.
TEPCO reported that the quake had minimal impact at the Fukushima Daiichi disaster site further down the coast.
