Banned Fukushima Baby Formula Found In China
Regulators in China found the banned product after it had been imported into the country. Food products from Fukushima prefecture are under a blanket ban in China. Officials said the product had no “excessive” radiation but didn’t say if it was free of radiation or was found with contamination that was below their govt. limits.
The 400kg of formula has been returned to Japan.
Similar problems happened recently in Taiwan where a large number of banned products were being imported by faking the origin labels.
