Zeolite Fibers Found Effective In Removing Cesium 137 From Fukushima Rivers

Neutral_density_filter_demonstrationA new study by researchers in Japan found that zeolite-polymer fiber materials were effective in filtering out low levels of cesium 137 from rivers in Fukushima near the disaster site. This shows that some easy to implement solutions could remove diluted cesium 137 from the environment, preventing it from flowing downstream or otherwise continuing to impact the environment, food supply and human exposure levels.
