Trump and First Lady both sick with covid. Multiple people associated with Trump have since tested positive including Hope Hicks, Sen. Mike Lee, RNC chairwoman McDaniel. Trump attended a New Jersey fundraiser after knowing Hicks had covid. Now both people from the NJ fundraiser, a MN rally and MN fundraiser are all being urged to quarantine and get tested. Trump was visibly unwell at the NJ fundraiser. Two reporters of the White House press corps have now tested positive. An unnamed White House staffer that works with the press briefings has tested positive. Now the Senate is concerned they need a testing program after multiple people there may have been exposed. SD governor Kristi Noem attended a private MN fundraiser for Trump on Tues and has not been subsequently tested.

Hicks and Lee had frequent contact with people in other branches of the federal government raising concerns this could cause a wider outbreak.
MN saw an uptick in new covid cases today, it was not mentioned if this was potentially caused by either Trump event. Joe & Jill Biden, and Mike Pence have tested negative today.
Notre Dame’s president has tested positive for covid. He was at the White House last week for the SCOTUS nomination ceremony. It isn’t clear if his case is tied to his White House visit.
