Kanagawa Radiation Post Gives Inaccurate Readings For 6 Months
METI established 14 monitoring locations in Kanagawa prefecture. Now months later it has been admitted the stations were giving inaccurate readings much lower than the real readings. This is a very real problem as it gave residents a false sense of security. They may have decided to forgo precautions and allowed children to play outside when some of the worst radiation fallout was passing over the area.
