Storm Hitting Japan Causing Deaths, Damage And Increasing Radiation Readings.
Japan Today is now reporting 3 deaths and 303 injuries associated with the storm passing over Japan today. Trucks have been flipped over, flights canceled and some trains stopped. Winds up to 150km have been seen as the storm moves across the main island.
Fukushima Diary is reporting a tornado warning in the region near Tokyo and increases on various radiation station readings as the storm passes those areas.
We have been watching the radiation meter at Fukushima Medical University that displays on our website drastically swing up and down. Readings will change as much as .10 uSv between one minute readings. As of posting this it was reading .40 uSv, it usually is somewhere around the .20 range.
The radiation station at Ibaraki (just south of Fukushima) is also now trending up.
The Fukushima radiation station readings can be followed here. It currently shows a drop in radiation but it is raining in the area.
The Tomioka web cam between Daiichi and Daini shows rain currently while the camera at the plant shows rain and light winds.
