84% Think Japan Nuclear Stress Tests Insufficient, Noda Weakens On Restarts

Mainichi ran a recent poll that showed 84% of the public does consider the Japanese government’s stress tests to be sufficient.

PM Noda is delaying any decision on reactor restarts. METI head Edano he opposes restarts and none would happen unless
the consent of the local government and community near the reactors was obtained.

The remaining operating nuclear reactor in Hokkaido is expected to shut down for maintenance in May.
