Fukushima Unit 2; Warrior Robot Stranded On Refueling Floor

iRobot Warrior_338The Warrior robot tipped over and remains stranded on the unit 2 refueling floor. The robot was inserted through the now covered blow out panel in the side wall to conduct inspection work towards repair work for the building. The robot depends on a power cable tether to keep it charged. The batteries had discharged and it requires someone to flip a switch on the robot in order to restart it.

Due to the high radiation levels on the refueling floor workers can not enter to flip the switch. The robot is made by iRobot in the US.
