Fukushima Pacific Contamination Will Show Back Up In Japan 2-3 Years
Oceanographer Michio Aoyama presented an estimate at an international conference recently showing that the cesium 137 contamination in the Pacific will begin to show back up in Japan. The releases from the initial disaster in 2011 are flowing with the strong ocean currents and are expected to begin showing back up in Japan in the next two to three years.
He did not expect the levels to be severe but indicated they would show a detectable rise in ocean radiation levels.
