Japan Citizen Radiation Testing Labs Join Forces To Show Data
Various citizen based radiation testing labs that have been established since the 2011 Fukushima disaster have joined forces to make their data available, all in one place.
The website includes multiple languages and a search tool to look for various types of food along with location and other details to provide radiation testing results. The current database includes food testing. The groups are now working on incorporating soil testing to their database. A map of their averaged soil samples checked so far can be found in this map.
These labs provide an important check on the governmental testing that has morphed over the years to not include testing of certain food items, many of them known to be contaminated.
