Fukushima To Be Hit With Typhoon Strength Storm Soon
Possibly in the next 8-10 hours a large “low” will come across the sea of Japan, causing high winds at Fukushima Daiichi. It is supposed to hit Tokyo about late afternoon and the following morning in Fukushima. JMA is predicting winds of 25 (meters / second) = 55.9234073 mph. They are also telling people to not go outside during the storm and possibly leave work early to not be caught in it.
JMA wasn’t clear if this was the maximum wind, an average or something else. 55mph is generally not considered “devastating”.
