TEPCO’s Photo Failure Gets “Better”

TEPCO’s public image management took itself to laughable heights when they released this horribly photoshopped image on August 30th. Our documentation shows that the area they so poorly attempted to block out is the garage doorway. This has raised suspicions about why they are trying to block this view from the public.

TEPCO then outdid themselves with a new solution to their Photoshop woes. They re-released the image & the handout announcing a correction!
This is the correction announcement: “We had fabricated a part of the photo in terms of physical protection. We replaced the photo of which the fabrication may be taken in appropriate. (September 4, 2012)

TEPCO’s English translations have also recently changed, as if someone new is doing them and doing them not nearly as well as they had been done in the past.

TEPCO fails to actually explain why they are blocking the garage doorway from view other than to cite “physical protection”. The screenshot cites “physical protection of nuclear materials” yet that makes one wonder what nuclear materials currently reside in the garage doorway that require such a crime against the graphic arts.
