Fukushima Daiichi Unit 2 Containment Pressure Drops Again

Containment pressure at unit 2 has dropped again. The unit saw a significant pressure drop in August. TEPCO closed a valve and the levels partially recovered. No explanation has been given for the new drops in pressure but they appear to be becoming harder to recover from. The most current pressure was 5.04kPa g, down from an average of around 15 kPa g in previous weeks before the problem started. Why the pressure is falling repeatedly is not clear. It could indicate a new leak in containment but this has not been confirmed.
