Enhanced Photos Inside Unit 2 Containment Scope Effort

TEPCO successfully inserted the scope camera inside unit 2’s containment Thursday. Statements by TEPCO and NISA indicate they were unable to obtain clear pictures or an image of the bottom of the reactor vessel. High radiation and steam were indicated as the cause for being unable to obtain better imagery. Images below have been enhanced to bring out details. Please leave the watermark on photos and include a link back to our site if you reuse these images elsewhere.
